Qual è la situazione della poesia nel Suo Paese?
A volte scrivere poesie è come camminare sul filo del rasoio. Quando le persone usano ironia, metafore, similitudini, allegorie nel loro linguaggio scritto, può significare che non sono capaci di usare in modo chiaro il linguaggio parlato. Anche semplici conversazioni di ogni giorno sono inframmezzate da proverbi, segni e simboli e possono darci un’idea dello stato della poesia nella società e nell’ambiente in cui si sviluppa.
Pensi che la poesia sia uno strumento per avvicinare culture e religioni diverse?
Penso che uno dei principali obiettivi della creazione letteraria sia diventare uno strumento di contatto tra popoli, come abbiamo visto accadere con le opere dei grandi maestri della poesia nel mondo. Ricordo sempre una frase di Oriana Fallaci tratta dal libro “Un Uomo” che dice pressappoco: “è necessario insegnare ai bambini che il mondo senza bastoni e pallottole è migliore, dobbiamo pensare di gonfiare palloncini; anche con una manciata di filo e un po’ di carta si può raggiungere il velo dorato del sole, i bambini che giocano con le pistole non salvano il mondo”.
La poesia nel mondo dei giovani. Quale futuro?
In Oriente, quando si parla di poesia, questa spesso viene considerata come un movimento, un evento che sorge spontaneamente, come una sorgente dalla terra. Rumi dice: “quando ho un’idea , gli dò forma con la poesia”. Anche se nel tempo la poesia si è modificata ed è riuscita ad adattarsi al linguaggio per esprimere se stessa, possiamo anche dire allo stesso tempo che la poesia è sempre stata come un fiume che scorre tra le rocce e fluisce.
La poesia sui social network: qualità o spazzatura?
Penso che sia troppo presto per giudicare lo stato della poesia sulla rete. Dovremo aspettare almeno una decina d’anni per vedere i risultati, a parte la capacità di diffondere la poesia nel mondo. Si dovrebbe anche tenere a mente che le nuove tecnologie stanno risolvendo alcuni bisogni come la difficoltà di accedere alla poesia in alcune zone del mondo e a certi testi in altre.

Sometimes writing poetry is like walking on a razor's edge. When people often use irony, metaphors, similes and allegories in their written language, it may mean that they cannot use their language spoken in a straightforward manner. Even simple everyday conversations are interspersed with proverbs, sayings and symbols and can give us an idea of the state of poetry in a society and the environment in which it develops.
Do you think that poetry is an instrument to put in contact different cultures and religions?
I think that one of the main objectives of literary creation is the fact of becoming an instrument of contact between people, as we have seen that it has happened with the works of the great masters of poetry in the world. I always remember a sentence of Oriana Fallaci in her book “A Man” that says something like -it is necessary to teach children that the world without batons and bullets is nicer, we have to think of inflating balloons; even with a handful of yarn and some paper you can reach the golden veil of the sun, children playing with guns will not save the world-.
The poetry is the world of young people. Has it a future?
In the East, when it comes to poetry, we often mean that it is a movement, an event that arises itself as does a spring from the earth. Rumi says -when an idea comes up, I give it the aspect of poetry-. Although in every age poetry has been amended and has managed to adapt the language to express itself, we could also say at the same time, that poetry has always been like a river that cuts through rocks and flows.
The poetry on social networks: quality or rubbish?
I think it is too early to judge the state of poetry in the network. We may have to wait at least a decade to see the result, beyond its function to disperse the poetry through the world. It would be nice also to keep in mind that new technologies are solving some needs such as difficult access to poetry in some areas of the world and to certain texts in others.
